Firstly even though outlook is set as default mail client you need to reapply the same from 'start> default programs> set default programs' now check if you still face the issue. if yes then you must add an email account in reader to eliminate this message. Outlook 2016 default email client errors hi, a couple of weeks ago i upgraded to office 2016 (32-bit) on windows 7 professional (32-bit) and ever since i have been unable to email items from other applications (e.g. adobe acrobat) or even from the "send to -> mail recipient" menu option in windows explorer.. Default mail client not recognized with adobe reader 11.0.3 does adobe acrobat reader claim to be office 64 bit compatible? a lot of third party software isn't, which is why ms recommends using 32bit office unless you need the huge file sizes availble with 64bit. either there is no default mail client or the current mail.
