Apple New Patent Technology Will Catch Thieves Via Touch ID
Touch ID from Apple is a great feature that safeguard your device, and a newly filed patent suggests it will also be able to help catch thieves.
The patent, named ‘biometric capture for unauthorized user identification,’ is pretty cool and great. If Touch ID detects a fingerprint that isn’t yours, it’ll store an image of the scan as a means of catching who may have stolen your phone.
It may also take their picture, or a video of them trying to hack your device. Here’s the abstract description of the patent:
A computing device may determine to capture biometric information in response to the occurrence of one or more trigger conditions. The trigger condition may be receipt of one or more instructions from one or more other computing devices, detection of potential unauthorized use by the computing device, normal operation of the computing device, and so on.The computing device may obtain biometric information and may store such biometric information. Such biometric information may be one or more fingerprints, one or more images of a current user of the computing device, video of the current user, audio of the environment of the computing device, forensic interface use information, and so on. The computing device may then provide the stored biometric information for identification of one or more unauthorized users.
Irrespective of other patents of iPhone, this is interesting and we are hoping to see more advance features on the patent and hopes it will soon comes to Android in a different way or name.

This year again, Apple is the star of Christmas with its iPhone. Samsung and Huawei are far behind.  It has now become a Christmas tradition. Every year, a few days after December 25, the firm Flurry Analytics delivers the results of a study on the number of activations of smartphones and tablets during the Christmas week. This year, Apple is the star with its iPhone but also the iPad. Thus, according to Flurry Analytics "Apple mobile devices continue to be the gift to offer." It must be said that the brand Apple has registered 44% of new activations of mobile devices through the iPhone and iPad. Number 2 is far behind. The great rival Apple, Samsung, has recorded "only" 21% of activations. It is still half as much as its main competitor. What brings Flurry Analytics to perfectly summarize: For every Samsung device activated, Apple has had two. For the rest, the competition was literally crushed. Huawei represents only 3% of activations while LG, Amazon, Oppo, Xiaomi and Motorola are all within 2% of activations. Notably absent from this ranking are the Google Pixel and Pixel XL . Flurry Analytics says that with only two terminals and "a mixed reception on the market, Google has failed to generate excitement for this holiday season." We will also add that Pixels have not been launched anywhere in the world unlike competitors products. More generally, smartphones displaying a diagonal between 5 and 6.9 inches have cardboard.The PHABLET indeed represent 37% of activations against 27% last year and 13% in 2014.
